The story of Billy (The Brush) Mumford written by his friend and business manager James Hartey. The book is a fascinating insight into the life of the world’s most prolific art forger covering his early life and education, through his period in prison up to the present day. Over six million pounds of artwork forged by Billy was put through some of the world’s leading auction houses. He was arrested by the Metropolitan Art and Antiques Unit when the plot was finally identified in 2009 and he was subsequently imprisoned in 2012 for two years.
